Community of Evaluators-Nepal (CoE-Nepal) organized the three-day Professional Skills Development Training on “Designing, Managing & Undertaking Impact Evaluations” from 13 to 15 September 2017 in Lalitpur, Nepal. The training was organized in collaboration with International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) and ICIMOD.
The training was one of the commitments of CoE-Nepal to the Capacity Development pillar of the Integrated National Evaluation Action Plan (2016-2020) of Nepal and is expected eventually to contribute to the Global Evaluation Agenda 2020 towards national evaluation capacity development.
Objectives of the training
The training was aimed to refresh the participants’ knowledge of Impact Evaluations (IEs) and further develop their skills to design and manage rigorous IEs. In addition, it also intended to provide hands-on experience through clinic sessions where participants will get opportunities to work and discuss on real world examples from Nepal and 3ie commissioned IEs.
